Job Overview
The Coordinator - Mobilization cum Placement is responsible for identifying, engaging, and mobilizing target beneficiaries for various skill development and livelihood programs. The role involves building relationships with communities, ensuring effective participation, and assisting beneficiaries in securing placements or livelihood opportunities post-training. The coordinator will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful program execution and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Mobilization:
- Develop and implement strategies to mobilize potential beneficiaries from marginalized and underprivileged communities for NGO training and livelihood programs.
- Conduct outreach activities in target areas, including community visits, awareness campaigns, and information sessions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, government agencies, community leaders, and other NGOs to enhance the reach of mobilization efforts.
- Identify the specific needs and challenges faced by potential beneficiaries and align mobilization efforts accordingly.
- Maintain a database of mobilized beneficiaries, including their background, skill levels, and program interests.
Placement Assistance:
- Collaborate with employers, industry partners, and businesses to identify job opportunities and placement prospects for trained beneficiaries.
- Act as a liaison between beneficiaries and potential employers, ensuring smooth communication and follow-up during the placement process.
- Conduct workshops and sessions on interview preparation, soft skills, resume building, and other relevant topics to enhance employability.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to beneficiaries, helping them navigate career opportunities and challenges.
- Track and document placement outcomes, collecting feedback from both employers and beneficiaries to improve future placement efforts.
Monitoring & Reporting:
- Regularly monitor the progress of mobilization and placement activities, ensuring that targets are met in alignment with the program’s objectives.
- Prepare and submit timely reports on mobilization efforts, placements secured, challenges faced, and lessons learned.
- Maintain accurate records of program beneficiaries, training attendance, placement statistics, and feedback.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure coordination between training, mobilization, and placement functions.
Stakeholder Management:
- Develop and nurture relationships with local authorities, industries, educational institutions, and other partners to facilitate program success.
- Represent the organization at community events, job fairs, and employer meetings to build visibility and trust.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Human Resources, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in mobilization, community engagement, placement coordination, or a related field, preferably within an NGO or social development sector.
- Strong understanding of community dynamics and experience working with marginalized groups.
- Proven track record in placing beneficiaries into jobs or livelihood opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with communities, beneficiaries, and employers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and beneficiaries efficiently.
- Experience in career counseling, job readiness training, and skills development is a plus.
