The Role :

We are currently seeking a Cook / Cook Assistant to join our partnered esteemed Special Educational Needs (SEN) School based in Banham to work on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a school setting where your contributions are truly valued.

As a Cook / Cook Assistant, you will assist in preparing meals that meet the dietary needs of students, including those with allergies, sensitivities, or other specific dietary requirements. You will support in cooking and serving meals, ensuring the quality and presentation are up to the school's standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• General food preparation (chopping, peeling, etc.)
• Assisting with cooking meals according to the school's menu
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
• Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Supporting the kitchen team in delivering efficient service
• Assisting with other kitchen duties as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering role is beneficial, but not essential
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
• Positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• DBS check (can be arranged if required)
