Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Financial analysis and reporting to Senior Management
- Manage and monitor all accounts and reporting systems to ensure compliance
- Meet financial accounting objectives and maintain internal control safeguards
- Identify opportunities to create efficiency, enhance processes, and implement consistent policies and procedures
- Other duties as outlined
Qualifications
- CPA certification required
- Previous working experience as a Controller is required
- Great leadership skills,
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities with big-picture thinking
- Deep understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and able to intermittently travel within Canada
