About the Role
Reporting to the Principal Controls System Engineer, you will be a key member of the Controls Systems Engineering team, working on diverse and dynamic projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating controls project design teams to deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
- Designing and implementing control systems, including PLC and SCADA programming, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to manage project objectives, procurement, and commissioning.
- Providing technical advice, preparing documentation, and supporting tenders.
- Driving continuous improvement and innovation in control systems engineering.
- Participating in factory inspections, acceptance testing, and on-site commissioning activities.
About You
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Systems) or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in PLC programming (Schneider Modicon / Allen-Bradley) and SCADA systems.
- Strong skills in control system design, network design, and documentation creation (e.g., Functional Descriptions, FAT/SAT).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in tools like Word, Excel, and ideally PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to show initiative and manage people and processes effectively.
