Job Description: The technical publications writer Is responsible for establishing,
documenting, implementing, and maintaining and or auditing the technical data program in
accordance with 14 CFR part 145 and part 43. His/her duties and responsibilities include:
• Audit the effectiveness of the entire Maintenance Technical Data Program, related

processes, and procedures.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining all internal maintenance procedures, auditing
function of the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System for the technical data
program.
• Address all audit findings through verbal and written communication to initiate action.
• Ensure key Company management personnel are aware of all potentially serious issues.
• Utilize and be proficient with company software to manage the technical data program.
• Issues and tracks all Company controlled manuals assigned to personnel and stations.
• Maintains and update the manuals status report for the Maintenance/Quality Control
departments.
• Edits and revises all internal Company controlled manuals.
• Orders and tracks all external Company controlled manuals.
• Organizes and maintains Company's library with all master manuals.
• Directly interface with Original Equipment Manufacturer on product issues and updates.
• Provide first level support and final resolution to end user requests within Tech Ops.,
Quality Control, Maintenance Planning, and Maintenance departments.
• Responsible for layout and editing of all company-controlled manuals, revisions, and
bulletins.
• Provides assistance to operations/maintenance personnel, vendors and other employees
to ensure they are able to access required company resources pertaining to manual
distribution.
• Standardizes content across platforms and media.
• Works with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus require fewer
instructions.
• Organizes and writes supporting content for products in accordance to OEM technical
data. Responsible for layout and editing of all company-controlled manuals, revisions, and
bulletins.
• Ensure compliance levels are accurately documented and reported.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (minimum knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies include
but are not limited to.
Technical writing skills.
Engineering Degree.
Engine MRO experience
Good verbal communication skills.
3+ yrs. of experience as a technical writer
Understanding of FAA/EASA regulations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Excel, and Word is essential.
Strong organizational and time management skills and possesses a sense of urgency.
Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed.
Research technical information to develop technical documents.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and personal organization. Preferred:
2+ Years CFM56-3, 5B & -7B experience.
