Qualifications and Skills:
- Medical degree and board certification in dermatology.
- Valid medical license to practice dermatology.
- Experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of dermatological conditions.
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform dermatological surgeries and cosmetic treatments.
- Knowledge of the latest dermatological treatments and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care and Diagnosis:
- Diagnose and treat skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.
- Provide treatments for hair and nail disorders.
- Examine patients to determine the nature of skin problems through diagnostic tests, skin biopsies, and lab analysis.
- Prescribe medications, perform skin therapy, and offer non-invasive cosmetic solutions (e.g., chemical peels, laser treatments).
- Surgical Procedures:
- Conduct minor surgeries, including mole removals, skin cancer treatments, and other skin surgeries.
- Perform cosmetic procedures such as Botox injections, dermal fillers, and laser hair removal.
- Conduct Mohs surgery for skin cancer patients (if specialized).
- Preventive Care and Counselling:
- Educate patients on proper skin care, preventive measures, and treatments to avoid long-term skin issues.
- Provide screenings for skin cancers and other potential health issues.
- Advise on sun protection and cosmetic product usage.
- Cosmetic Dermatology:
- Provide non-surgical treatments like fillers, Botox, micro needling, and skin rejuvenation therapies.
- Counsel patients on elective cosmetic procedures such as laser therapies, peels, and aesthetic enhancements.
