CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT:
The Construction Superintendent will serve as the 2IC to the Senior Project Manager, overseeing and executing construction activities on an upcoming wharf demolition and reconstruction project in the Pilbara region. You will initially be based in Henderson, until commencing on a FIFO roster in May 2025.
THE ROLE:
- Fixed-term contract until February 2026
- Based in Henderson until May 2025 when turns FIFO
- Competitive salary reflective of experience and responsibilities
TASKS:
- Manage the day-to-day construction operations including barges, piling and structural welding
- Motivate, lead and direct a team of Supervisors and Barge Masters, mentor Project Engineers and oversee sub-contractors
- Ensure safety and quality standards with on-time delivery
- Work closely with the Senior Project Manager to create methodologies, schedules and resource allocation plans
- Identify risks and challenges associated with the project, operations, resources, and create mitigation or resolution plans
- Regularly report to management on project status, timeline, budgets, and other critical factors
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8 years’ experience in construction management or senior supervisory roles within the marine or heavy civil construction industry (barges, piling and welding)
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction/Project Management or a Trade (or equivalent)
- Proven ability to manage and lead teams of diverse construction professionals
- Approach-focused on safety and quality of work
- White Card, First Aid and Drivers License
- Pass a Rail Cat 3 Medical (including D&A, NPC, Reference Check)
- The right to work in Australia
