The Coordinator works collaboratively with staff, contractors, members of standing committees, legal counsel, representatives of the Province and other stakeholders as needed. Given the sensitive nature of this work, the Coordinator must be able to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality and work with a high degree of autonomy

Responsibilities
•Complete intake assessments for complaints submitted to the Association to determine appropriate action.
•Collaborate with staff and the Complaints Committee to prioritize complaints based on risk.
•Provide complainants and respondents with updates as needed.
•Assist the Complaint Investigator during investigations as needed.
•Review and edit investigation reports before submission to the Complaints Committee.
•Assist Complaints Committee with drafting decisions.
•Collaborate with staff and the Complaints Committee to resolve issues.
•Schedule disciplinary hearings.
•Collect and distribute evidence and other documentation to the parties.
•Assist committee members with drafting decisions after hearings.
•Draft complaint summaries for publication on the Association website.
Qualifications
•Paralegal, office administration or another similar post-secondary diploma is required.
•Formal education related to administrative justice or complaint investigations is an asset.
•Minimum of three (3) years’ experience supporting administrative tribunals, complaint or discipline processes, or other similar work.
•Experience with interpreting and applying legislation, regulation and policy
