Compensable Patient Administration Officer (CPAO)
Location: Murdoch
The candidate will need to be available for rostering over all 7 days, Monday – Sunday, between the hours of 7:00 and 10:00pm. THERE IS ALSO A FULL TIME, MON-FRI, 38 HOURS A WEEK POSITION AVAILABLE.
The role is predominantly rostered:
- Monday to Sunday 7:00 – 3:00pm
- Monday to Friday 2:00 – 10:00pm
- Saturday and Sunday 12:00 – 8:00pm
- Initial period 2 months with possible extension
- Start within the next 1-2 weeks
- Rate $37 Super + penalties
- Recent Hospital experience desirable
Desired Description:
Well-developed communication negotiation and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with patients and all levels of staff

- Excellent customer service focus and ability to work positively and effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to manage high work standards
- Meet Key Performance Indicators
- Help to reduce our backlog of edit checks.
- Review outstanding edit checks in Patient Billing system to identify missing documentation and follow up accordingly.
- Process Private Patient admission paperwork
- Monitor Revenue Department shared mailboxes
- Liaise with patients on the Wards/ED
- Practical experience using computers including the use of word processing and excel
- Strong background in customer service
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently with initiative and as a team member
- Strong computer skills
- Attention to detail
