About Us:
Randstad is a preferred supplier of temporary nursing staff to NHS Trusts and we currently have a number of opportunities working on a part time or full time basis across Pennine NHS Trust. Their Acute Mental Health Wards play a critical role in providing care and support to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. We are seeking a Band 6 RMN to join our dedicated team and contribute to the well-being of their patients.
Role Overview: As a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse, you will play a crucial role in our multidisciplinary team, providing specialist mental health care within the community setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to the needs of our service users, promoting recovery and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and risk assessments.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions and evidence-based treatments.
- Monitor and review service users' progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Provide support and guidance to junior staff members and students.
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RMN) qualification with active NMC registration.
- Relevant experience in mental health nursing, preferably in a community or similar setting.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of mental health legislation and policies governing care delivery.
Desirable Skills:
- Post-registration qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Community Mental Health, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).
- Experience in crisis intervention and risk management.
- Ability to drive and access to own vehicle for community visits.
