As a Communications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing communication strategies and initiatives. You will collaborate with various teams to draft, edit, and distribute communications materials, ensuring clarity and alignment with our client's objectives. This position requires you to work onsite 2 days per week in their Toronto office, with Wednesdays mandatory.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute weekly newsletters and other communication materials.
Coordinate with translation and review teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of communications.
Participate in working groups to manage and oversee communication projects.
Draft and edit a variety of communications, including emails, announcements, and reports.
Provide consultation on effective communication methods and strategies.
Provide professional support for communication initiatives, programs, and projects.
Collaborate with functional managers and business partners to execute communication strategies.
Manage media reviews and news release processes as needed.
Coordinate content and design changes with business partners and third-party suppliers.
Evaluate project effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Maintain project records and databases, reporting on status and updates as required.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in communications.
Qualifications
2 to 4 years of experience.
Ability to write and draft clear, concise communications.
Adaptability to changing priorities and project requirements.
Self-sufficiency in managing tasks independently.
Strong team player mentality, willing to assist colleagues and collaborate effectively.
Diploma or degree in Journalism or related field preferred.
Proficiency in French a plus.
Previous corporate communications experience is advantageous.
