Permanent Position
Hours: Monday to Friday daytime (with a rotating on-call schedule)
Salary: $42-$52 per hour - range based on experience and certification
- On-call call-out bonus
- $5,000 signing bonus for Journeyperson Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanics

Responsibilities
As a Commercial HVAC/R Mechanic, a normal day would include:
- Reviewing and prioritizing client's emergency and scheduled maintenance needs for the day and week
- Driving to and interacting with commercial clients located throughout Winnipeg
- Performing diagnostics, servicing, and maintaining heating/AC units, kitchen equipment, and refrigeration systems
- Ensure maintenance completed is in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specifications.
- Follow compliance with provincial legislation and regulations, as well as company policies surrounding conduct and health and safety.
- Accurately complete required paperwork for each job.
- Acting as a brand ambassador, dealing with clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Mentoring junior technicians, aiding in their professional development and blue book hours
- Other duties as required to ensure the proper operation of the business
Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- Journeyman/Red Seal in Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanics is a strong asset
- Licensed B Gas Fitter is a strong asset
- 4+ years of servicing AC/heating units, kitchen equipment, or refrigeration systems in lieu of a ticket would be considered
- 2+ years of experience installing or servicing grocery store refrigeration equipment, primarily large rack systems would be considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
