We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. The MASH team plays a crucial role in early intervention and coordination of services to ensure the safety and well-being of children at risk of harm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of incoming referrals to determine the level of risk and appropriate course of action.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including police, health, and education professionals, to gather information and develop holistic intervention plans.
- Provide timely and appropriate support to children and families, ensuring their voices and preferences are heard and respected.
- Conduct joint investigations and participate in multi-agency meetings to develop coordinated responses to safeguarding concerns.
- Liaise with external agencies and service providers to coordinate access to support services and resources for children and families in need.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, documentation, and reports in compliance with regulatory standards and agency policies.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of MASH processes and practices, participating in team meetings, training, and professional development activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Registration with Social Work England (SWE) or equivalent professional body.
- Previous experience working in a children's social work setting, preferably within a MASH or similar multi-agency environment.
- Sound knowledge of child protection legislation, policies, and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in practice.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions in complex and challenging situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and partner agencies.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning, with a passion for improving outcomes for children and families.
