As a Social Worker in the Safe and Protect Team, you will work with children and families facing complex challenges.
You will conduct thorough assessments, develop safeguarding plans, and collaborate with multi-agency professionals to deliver tailored support that ensures children's safety and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children in need, children on child protection plans, and looked-after children.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify risks and needs, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor child-centered safeguarding and support plans.
- Work closely with children, families, and multi-agency professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, court proceedings, and other key meetings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory and professional standards.
- Advocate for the voices of children, ensuring their perspectives are central to decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in child protection or similar statutory social work roles.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding policies, relevant legislation, and child-centered practices.
- Ability to manage a challenging caseload and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience in court work, including preparing reports and attending hearings, is desirable.
