Job Description:
As a CIN and CP Social Worker, you will manage complex cases involving children in need of support and those under child protection plans.
You will conduct assessments, coordinate care plans, and work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to provide effective interventions to safeguard vulnerable children.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children in need and children on child protection plans, conducting assessments to identify risks and needs.
- Develop and implement care and protection plans to support the safety and well-being of children.
- Conduct visits, assessments, and direct work with children and families to provide ongoing support.
- Work closely with multi-agency professionals, including health, education, and law enforcement, to deliver a coordinated approach.
- Ensure all casework is accurately documented and compliant with statutory and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Previous experience working in child protection or similar statutory social work roles.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices, relevant legislation, and child protection processes.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience with court processes and report writing is desirable.
