Are you a compassionate and dedicated social worker with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and families? We are currently seeking a Children and Families Social Worker to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide support, guidance, and intervention in various challenging situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments of children and families needs, and develop and implement intervention plans to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Family Support: Provide practical and emotional support to families facing challenges, working collaboratively to enhance parenting skills and family resilience.
- Court Representation: Represent the interests of children and families in court proceedings, ensuring their voices are heard and their best interests are prioritised.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multi-agency teams, including health care professionals, educators, and community resources, to provide comprehensive support to children and families.
- Child Protection: Actively contribute to child protection procedures, including the identification and management of risks to children and the coordination of safeguarding plans.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and communication with children, families, and relevant professionals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work
- Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the well-being of vulnerable children.

- Ability to engage effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Empathy and resilience in dealing with challenging situations.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in children's services.
