Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications: Graduate (any discipline) from a government-recognized university.
Certifications: Necessary certifications (IIBF/NIBM, etc.) as per the capacity building guidelines of RBI.
Post Qualification Experience: Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience in Treasury Front Office Operations / Treasury Dealings in a supervisory role in Scheduled Commercial Banks.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic and Planning:
- Contribute to the development of corporate strategy and ensure alignment with departmental strategy.
- Recommend improvements to departmental policies and implement procedures and controls.
- Prepare and recommend the department’s budget with relevant analysis and data.
Functional:
- Track market movements to take positions and square off positions in domestic and forex markets.
- Oversee execution of deals for investing, trading, and funding purposes in SLR securities, non-SLR securities, lending, and borrowing products like Repo/Reverse Repo, LAF, MSF, etc.
- Oversee execution of Forex deals for merchant and proprietary trading on behalf of the bank.
- Ensure trade capture in the system post deal conclusion to trigger position.
- Monitor currency-wise positions and accordingly manage the position in the market.
Process:
- Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with established policies, processes, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain a robust internal control framework for managing Treasury Front Office operations.
- Monitor processes to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements and Turnaround times.
- Review preparation of reports to management and statutory bodies ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Monitor compliance with various regulatory requirements, including lending ratio, cash reserve requirement, and limitations on overseas borrowing in foreign currency.
- Ensure effective and efficient operations towards achieving high operating standards.
- Adhere to departmental budgets and minimize deviations.
People:
- Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, integrity, and control in daily operations.
- Drive a performance-driven culture through timely monitoring, review of performance parameters, and feedback.
- Identify training needs and ensure completion of mandatory training programs/certifications for self and team members.
- Mentor and coach subordinates to develop team capabilities and build a robust succession pipeline.
- Ensure adequate staffing as per manpower requirements.
- Promote high levels of employee engagement and retention of key performers.
Personnel Specifications
Professional Qualifications: CAIIB desirable.
Experience: Over five years of experience in specialized Treasury systems like Credence and ability to lead a team for migration when required.
Knowledge: Sound knowledge of Treasury functions and products.
Skills: Good communication and presentation skills.
