A leading European company in commercial equipment including lighting, security and self-checkout with local R&D center is looking for a seasoned product manager for its self-check products.
about the job:
Own and drive SCO(Self-check-out)portfolio in APAC.
- Product portfolio planning: Define product strategy and product roadmap based on market insight and industry foresight.
- New product development: Function as representative of customers in the new product development projects, including but not limited to
- Define target customers, product value proposition and requirements, price and delivery of new products.
- Engage Beta customers during product development stage to verify the product design.
- Find a balance point of QCD.
- New product introduction: Introduce new SCO products in APAC. Develop sales tools with support from R&D team, etc. Work out with sales/BD team on the market introduction plan and follow up the progress.
Drive the sales of RT (Retail Technology) product & solution, including SCO, in APAC.
- Develop value proposition based on market insight.
- Build up market introduction tools around the value proposition with support from R&D team, etc.
- Collect and analyse market feedback (VOC, benchmarking etc.) as inputs to new product development or product improvement.
- Explore and develop RT business in APAC.
Collaborate with global SCO product manager to drive global SCO products/business.
- Work with global SCO product manager on the global SCO projects.
- Lead project team in China on the project implementation.
- Drive activities in China organization to support global SCO business.
requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related majors.
- 5 years or above solid Product marketing or Business development experience in retail self-checkout, or conventional check out or retail gate industry.
- Strategic thinking with good communication skills.
- Fluent in English as working language.
