Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team in Johor. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for managing and planning the company’s cash flow, ensuring financial stability, and providing strategic financial leadership to support our growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash Flow Management:
- Develop and implement cash flow management strategies to ensure the company has adequate liquidity to meet its obligations.
- Monitor cash flow projections and adjust financial plans as necessary.
- Optimize cash management processes, including receivables, payables, and treasury functions.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Lead the development of financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support the company's goals.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and senior management team.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Strategic Planning:
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes as a key member of the executive team.
- Evaluate and manage financial risks and opportunities related to new projects and ventures.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives with financial analysis and due diligence.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Monitor and report on budget performance, identifying and addressing any variances.
- Develop long-term financial forecasts and scenario planning.
Capital Management:
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
- Oversee the capital structure of the company, including debt and equity financing.
- Ensure optimal capital allocation to maximize returns and support growth.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team to achieve high performance.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in the property development industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of cash flow management, financial planning, and risk management.
- Proficient in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
