Due to growth in the team and a recent ESCOSA approved program of work, SA Water have created 4 new Category Specialist positions across their Operations and Capital Works and Services categories.
Key responsibilities include:
In this role you will work collaboratively with stakeholders and effectively manage supply performance for specific high value/complexity sub-categories of spend and risk. Our Supply Chain team consists of highly experienced and capable professionals who utilise commercial outcomes to match business needs with supply chain expertise.
● Lead delivery of category management for high-value sub-categories, demonstrating deep market knowledge and driving continuous improvement
● Conduct all sourcing and extension processes: prepare all relevant plans and recommendation reports, obtain all approvals and ensure contract finalisation and execution
● Achieve successful commercial outcomes on all contracts within scope in accordance with relevant plans and contractual performance obligations
● Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, providing expert advice on procurement, supply chain, and contract administration matters
Your success in this role will come from:
● Formal tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Procurement, Law, Commercial, or equivalent experience (MCIPS desirable)
● Demonstrated procurement and contracting experience with strong negotiation and Supplier Management skills (desirable)
● Highly developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Ability to work autonomously, showcasing strong research and analytical skills.
