how you will contribute
As the Category Manager for IT, you will play a critical role in developing and executing IT category strategies. You will foster strong relationships both internally (with stakeholders) and externally (with suppliers), working closely with the Head of IT Procurement, contract managers, and contract owners.
departmentIT Procurement is central to Randstad’s global digital strategy. Our Procurement & Contract Management team, part of Global Procurement within Finance, supports the global IT & CIO organization. The team consists of nine diverse professionals, including Category and Procurement Managers, as well as Contract and License Managers. Our approach to procurement in IT focuses on flexibility, collaboration, and innovation. It emphasizes leveraging technology, data-driven decision-making, and strategic partnerships to deliver value beyond cost savings. We believe in building strategic relationships with suppliers, and focusing on long-term business objectives and see procurement as a critical driver of success in Randstad´s global IT strategy.
what you will be doing
As a Category Manager, you will be part of a global team driving strategic initiatives and projects. Success in this role requires speed, initiative, commitment, and exceptional communication skills.
Your main responsibilities are:

The Global Procurement Department comprises IT and Business & Professional Services (non-IT) sourcing pillars, along with the Procurement Excellence team. Together, these teams enable the implementation of business strategies, where Category Managers play a key role in supporting stakeholders in sourcing activities. You will report to the Head of Global IT Procurement.
what you will bring
Your communication and negotiation skills are well-developed. You have a 5 + years track record in procurement category management and are a proven and skilled business partner. You have an affinity for IT services and understand the relevant complexities in these procurement categories.
You have a service-minded attitude that balances all interests in your approach when delivering on objectives and adding your expertise to the discussions.
