your typical day includes
As an IT Financial Controller you oversee financial processing and reporting mainly for the global IT projects (GIP) and Global IT services (GIS) organisation within Randstad Global. You will partner closely with the business controller of the GIP and GIS organisations to support Global/regional insights on IT expenses, provide financial oversight with regards to the treatment of IT expenses in the P&L and balance sheet, including cross charging to operating companies. You will be comfortable working in a regional & global matrixed environment where a number of financial activities are supported by local operating companies. To help achieve these goals, strong relationship building in internal networks throughout Randstad Global including Group Control, Group Accounting, Group Tax, and the IT and finance teams of the operating companies will be required. As part of the role you will report to the Manager Financial control & Accounting.
your key tasks and responsibilities
... - Control monthly, quarterly and yearly financial records of GIP and GIS including all closing activities
- Responsible for completeness of GIS quarterly recharging and related accruals
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Provide support for the global technology team, IT business leaders, with queries around actual costs and commentary around variances against forecasts / budgets
- Provide the Manager Financial Control & Accounting with accurate and clear feedback and reporting on GIP & GIS to be included in HQ reporting, as well as on ad hoc projects / tasks / reporting
- Partner closely with the business controller for accurate forecasting / budgeting and project creation
- Distributing GIS results to the Business Relationship Managers (updating and maintenance of tableau dashboard)
- IT Project administration - be the financial control point of contact with PMO and business controllers to ensure alignment between project management tools and financial data
- Work with the financial operations team to further improve the process and granularity of data
- Responsible for direct cost recharges across Global IT projects and services -working with product owners to ensure correct and timely recharges to OPCOs and improving current process where possible (potential dashboarding visualisation project)
- create presentations for internal stakeholders
- Support financial control efforts when needed within other corporate functions
your background
- overall strong financial background, with demonstrable financial control experience preferably in a technology driven sector
- results-oriented, innovative thinker with a focus on continuous improvement
- flexible and able to adapt to situations
- understand global & local and matrixed organisations
- communication and relationship building skills needed
- you are a team player, enthusiastic and you have a strong commitment to customer service
- you feel comfortable to effectively work and communicate at all levels, with multiple stakeholders of varied backgrounds, nationalities and cultures
- project management, comfortable with google suite & BI tools, PMO tools and Agile working methods
- process driven individual with ability to operate in ambiguity with limited guidance
- fluent in English
