Key Responsibilities:
As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for:
3D Modeling & Design: Create detailed 3D models of architectural components using Autodesk Fusion and other 3D modeling software. You will design complex assemblies such as balconies, canopies, and custom signage, ensuring that designs are both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound.
Shop Drawings: Produce high-quality shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly plans. You will prepare technical drawings that communicate design intent and manufacturing requirements to the production team.
Mechanical & Architectural Assembly Design: Contribute to the design of mechanical and architectural systems, ensuring that they meet functional requirements, industry standards, and safety codes.
Collaboration: Work closely with clients, designers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Your input will be critical in translating conceptual designs into workable, manufacturable solutions.
Site Visits & Client Interaction: Occasionally participate in site visits to assess project needs and collaborate directly with clients and external partners to finalize designs and specifications.
Quality Control: Ensure that all designs adhere to the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance with building codes and regulations. Provide design recommendations and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production or installation.
Qualifications
Experience Required:
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (3+ years)
Reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints (3+ years)
Experience in machine or assembly design (1+ year)
Familiarity with 3D modeling software (1+ year)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in 3D modeling and CAD design, particularly within the architectural or fabrication industry.
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and other relevant 3D design software.
Experience creating shop drawings and mechanical/architectural assembly designs.
Familiarity with building codes, design best practices, and industry standards.
Ability to read, interpret, and work with engineering and architectural drawings.
