Responsibilities
Procure and purchase mechanical parts, large engine components, small tool parts, materials, goods, and services from suppliers
Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers
Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality products
Use systems to track inventory levels and place orders accordingly
Collaborate with internal teams to determine purchasing needs
Evaluate supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise
Qualifications
Proven experience in purchasing and procurement, especially for heavy equipment parts
Strong negotiation skills and ability to secure favorable terms
Knowledge of supplier management and procurement strategies
Familiarity with inventory control systems
Ability to analyze prices and market trends to make informed purchasing decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken (external suppliers may be outside of Quebec)
