KDC is located in Knowlton in the Eastern Townships, about 40 minutes from Sherbrooke and Granby. It is a leader in contract manufacturing and the largest deodorant manufacturer in North America. In addition to innovating to design over a thousand other beauty, health and hygiene products.
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing the chemicals and components required for production according to production planning requirements.
Please note that this is essentially an English-speaking position, so an excellent command of English is required.
Full-time daytime position, Monday to Friday
Location: 315 Knowlton Rd. Knowlton, QC.
Salary: To be discussed, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
As a buyer you will:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies for each supplier.
- Investigate and resolve delivery, inventory and sourcing issues to limit their impact on production.
- Follow up orders with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and take action in the event of problems or delays.
- Calculate material requirements based on inventory and production forecasts, and place orders in the system accordingly.
- Update dock appointments in Windev by consulting the deliverer's or supplier's portal.
- Update parameters in ERP software.
- Resolve issues with suppliers related to non-compliance or non-conformity of agreements.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure follow-up and receipt of orders.
Qualifications
Skills expected of the buyer:
- Previous experience in a production environment.
- Excellent knowledge of English (this is an essentially English-speaking position).
- AS400 system proficiency.
- Computer skills.
- Knowledge of standard purchasing procedures and production planning (an asset).
