Responsibilities
Process Improvements and Optimization (60%)
- Define scope and requirements of process improvement initiatives
- Develop and maintain Gantt charts and project plans for various process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure a deep understanding of their lines of business and to analyze and document current development approvals processes
- Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in the development applications processing workflows
- Interpret data to quantify processing times and resource utilization
- Design, implement, and prioritize process improvement initiatives to enhance the speed and accuracy of development approvals
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional workshops and meetings to drive a culture of continuous improvement
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate user perspectives into process enhancements
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of implemented changes, adjusting as needed
- Create and maintain documentation related to updated processes and procedures, based on industry best practices
- Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on progress and outcomes of improvement initiatives
Staff Coaching and Development (30%)
- Accelerate DAP Program staff team formation and development by coaching new/Lean Six Sigma Green Belt level staff
Metrics and Performance (10%)
- Develop frameworks to monitor and evaluate the performance of business processes and process improvements
- Report on the performance of process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years in business process improvement or continuous improvement projects at the expert level
- Lean Six Signal Black Belt and Organizational Change Management certifications
- Public sector experience preferred
