Business Development AP&Japan, Associate DirectorJob Objectives•Work closely with Head of BD&AM and the leadership team, develop and implement the business development strategy.•Lead business development projects in alignment with the Company’s growth objectives.•Capitalize partnership opportunities to maximize our company's product portfolio through active business development and alliance management.Role & ResponsibilitiesWith limited supervision, develop and implement business development initiatives including•Objective assessment of current business•Creation of business development strategy•Ideation of new business opportunities•Strategic, operational and financial evaluation•Deal negotiation and execution•Implementation of partnership agreement•Alliance management•Responsible and accountable for ensuring overall successful relationship and contractual management of alliance programs resulting from various transactions•Lead and/or participate in Japan/AP regional/ global business development projects as a representative of AP and Japan BD

Required Skill
•BS in Science, Finance or other relevant degrees. Commercial and/or Finance expertise desirable. MBA preferred.
•Fluent in Japanese and English (speaking & written). Other languages are plus.
•Has solid knowledge of and experience in BD.
•Strong understanding of financial modeling, P&L and standard financial concepts (e.g., NPV, IRR) in order to assess attractiveness of opportunity and structure deal terms to maximize financial opportunity, as well as commercial knowledge.
•Experienced professional, who can challenge the input from internal and external resources and remains objective in his/her perspective.
•Must be comfortable with working autonomously
•Good understanding of pharma environment / health care system and proven eye for commercial opportunities.
•Innovative problem-solving skills.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities successfully. Needs to be able to work strategically while at the same time manage details well.
•Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; demonstrates leadership skills, strong analytical ability, assimilates facts quickly, good meeting facilitation and presentation skills, as well as strong oral and written communication talents. Operates effectively in a multi-disciplinary matrix environment, and focused on key deliverables
•Ability to influence without authority and establish a high degree of credibility with cross functional stakeholders (internally and externally) is a requirement.
•Willingness to accept variety of assignments, highly motivated, a self-starter, and performs well under stress
•Ability to build and manage collaborative relationships at all levels inside and outside of the organization.
