We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our facility management company. As the Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing and managing maintenance, repairs, and operation activities across one of our site. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the maintenance team.
Position: Building Maintenance Supervisor
Location: North West London
Salary: Up to £50,000 per year + overtime + benefits
Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm
Job Description:
- Responsible for supervising mechanical, electrical, and building trade staff, along with specialist contractors.
- Ensure the prompt and appropriate allocation of work, ensuring its completion in line with the performance monitoring system and to the satisfaction of the client.
- Utilise the Maximo CAFM system.
- Order materials and services as required within agreed delegation levels, and certify their satisfactory delivery/completion.
- Monitor the performance, timekeeping, and sickness of trade staff in accordance with Company policy.
- Provide estimates for quoted works, take site measurements, and manage cost control information, maintaining necessary records for effective administration as directed.
- Required to undertake training and qualify as an Authorised Person and/or Competent Person if needed.
- May be required to work with tools on a day-to-day basis, particularly during emergencies, and to support staff.
- Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm
The Person:
- Must hold a recognised electrical or mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline, with appropriate industry experience.
- Will have significant experience in a building services environment with broad mechanical and electrical knowledge, ideally within a hospital setting.
- MUST HAVE WATER TREATMENT EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION (e.g. L8)
- Will be a team player, ideally with supervisory or management experience.
- Client-focused with a proactive, delivery-oriented, and 'can-do' approach to work.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge and application of various trade groups to be managed, such as building works, mechanical, and electrical engineering.
- Possesses good communication and customer service skills.
- Able to obtain DBS clearance.
