We're now expanding our team and are seeking a skilled Biomass Service Engineer to cover our projects throughout Scotland.
Role Overview:
As a Biomass Service Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Service and Maintenance team, responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing biomass boiler installations across Scotland. You'll need to be proactive, have strong problem-solving skills, and be comfortable with extensive travel and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to reactive call-outs for time-critical faults, including out-of-hours emergencies.
- Conduct monthly ash disposal visits and routine maintenance checks.
- Provide suggestions for plant improvements and submit detailed reports.
- Perform servicing and fault-finding on biomass plants and associated M&E services.
- Collaborate with both site-based and office-based engineers.
- Ensure timely completion of field-based job reports via tablet devices.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant experience with biomass systems, preferably HERZ 300Kw - 1.5Mw.
- Previous experience in the Commercial M&E trade.
- Full and clean driving license.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with a range of biomass boiler manufacturers.
- Knowledge of additional biomass systems.
