Responsibilities
In this Billing Analyst role in Downtown Toronto, you will be responsible for the following:
- Manage billing data and billing records, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform thorough audits and reconciliations of billing data to identify discrepancies or irregularities and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize billing software and systems to generate accurate invoices for customers based on their energy consumption and contractual agreements.
- Provide timely and professional support to customers regarding billing inquiries, disputes, and adjustments, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including customer service, operations, and finance teams, to streamline billing processes and resolve issues effectively.
- Monitor and analyze billing performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry requirements governing energy billing practices, tariffs, and billing disclosures.
- Generate regular reports and analysis of billing data and trends to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing billing accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Stay informed about developments in the energy industry, including changes in regulations, technologies, and best practices related to billing and invoicing.
Qualifications
This Billing Analyst role in Downtown Toronto will require the following:
- Must have completed post-secondary education in a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Billings.
- Experience working with WIP billing is an asset.
- Proficiency in SAP or another large ERP system is an asset.
- Proficiency with MS Excel.
