Key Responsibilities:
Bid Writing: Prepare high-quality, tailored bids and proposals for civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet the client's specifications and showcase the company's strengths.
Content Development: Develop clear, persuasive, and client-focused content, working closely with internal teams to gather technical details, project data, and key insights.
Proposal Coordination: Collaborate with the estimating, design, and project teams to manage the bid process from initial identification to final submission, ensuring timely delivery of all required documents.
Research & Analysis: Conduct research on potential clients, projects, and industry trends to ensure bids are strategic and targeted, identifying opportunities for competitive advantage.
Bid Strategy: Contribute to the development of bid strategies, helping to identify key win themes, project strengths, and unique selling points for each submission.
Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure that all bids and proposals meet industry standards, are compliant with tender requirements, and align with the company's quality expectations.
Presentation Preparation: Assist in the preparation of presentations for client meetings and interviews, ensuring materials are well-structured and engaging.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bid Writer in the civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into compelling narratives.
- Understanding of the bid and tender process within the construction or engineering sectors.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, project managers, and senior leadership.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with bid management tools is desirable.
