We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Tutor to join a secondary school in Leeds. This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students who require extra support with their behaviour in and out of the classroom.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with young people in a school or educational setting, particularly with behaviour management.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A proactive and flexible approach to managing challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students struggling to access the curriculum due to behavioural challenges.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to help students improve self-regulation and engagement in learning.
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to monitor student progress and adapt support plans as needed.
- Supervise students in inclusion rooms and during interventions to ensure a calm and productive environment.
- Assist in promoting positive behaviour throughout the school by addressing disruptive behaviour promptly and effectively.
- Support the development of social and emotional skills through targeted interventions.
