Main Responsibilities and Duties:
The candidate will generate and maintain profitable business relations with partners/clients and promote Pharmaron as the CRO of choice to prospective clients while also managing and enhancing ongoing business relationships. This role will have the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of teams daily including clients, partners, scientists, upper management, vendors and legal; making this role a real relationship-building experience.
- Identify potential clients for our Drug Development Platform services through market research and by working with China, the US and European Business Development Team.
- Achieve agreed sales and profit budgets/targets.
- Identify, cultivate, manage and maintain professional relationships with clients that match the segment profile of target Pharmaron customers. Qualify and generate new sales leads and opportunities, managing opportunities from the point of inquiry to closing of sale.
- Be familiar with areas of work and focus undertaken by other Business Development personnel so that "cross selling" opportunities can be captured for the business.
- Remain up to date with market environment trends and developments, monitoring competitor and client activity, communicating that information within Pharmaron and formulating such information into effective strategies upon which Pharmaron can capitalise.
Required Qualifications (knowledge, skills and abilities):

- Key Account Management and in-depth knowledge of the CRO and Pharmaceutical market and environment for the pre-clinical study
- Can identify new business opportunities and business growth.
- Understanding of drug discovery or pre-clinical studies in the drug development market specifically in Drug Design, Chemical Synthesis, DMPK, ADME, Bioanalysis, Toxicology, Efficacy Study, Biotransformation, Drug-Drug Interactions, etc.
- Financial, costing and budgeting skills for measuring, monitoring and reporting business metrics.
- Excellent negotiating/networking skills and strong relationship management abilities.
- Good stakeholder and relationship management.
- Fluent in Korean and English.
- Willing to travel overseas and domestically.
Required Education and Experience:
- BSc (Hons) in Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioscience, Life Science or related subject is essential - MSc or PhD preferred.
- CRO industry experience in Business Development or several years of experience (+5 years) at biotech or pharma companies.
