Purpose/Objective of the JobOversee the creation, implementation, and pull-through of high-quality scientific and product training with output skill enhancement to Oncology (ONC) MRs. Ensure trainer collaboration with WW training community to drive successful training content creation and delivery. Manage performance and professional growth of Oncology Trainers.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy and Planning (25%)• Develop a compelling vision and strategy for the Oncology product training and Field Sales Trainer teams aligned to that of the overall training team, and secure team and organization buy-in• Designs and maintains annual Oncology training program for MRs, reacting to evolving business priorities and resource allocation• Collaborates with other Japan training team Leads to share best practices, synergize planning, and optimize delivery• Defines and manages Oncology training team budget to execute annual Oncology training and supports overall Training Team budget planning process in a timely mannerTeam Management and Performance (30%)Leads a team of Oncology Trainers and coordinates their individual deployment• considering training schedules, business priorities, and individual development prioritiesEncourages the Oncology training team to prepare and deliver high-quality training aligne• Annual plan that drive field leadership coaching excellence, and enable salesforce effectiveness• Advocates collaboration and best practice sharing between Oncology Trainers and product-focused trainers in other markets to push the envelope on training quality• Advocates for and encourages Oncology Trainers to identify and leverage innovative adult learning methods that can accelerate development of field leadership• Establishes and measures Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the delivery of Oncology training programs to MRs, trainer performance, and effectiveness• Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to all direct reports including implementation of individual professional development plans to facilitate their growth• Fosters team atmosphere through own attitude and actionsTraining Execution (25%)• Provides expert input to the design and development of Oncology training content and vendor management• Ensures high quality and timely implementation of Oncology training programs, and course corrects as appropriate to meet business needs• Oversees co-ordination of logistics and technology for training delivery in alignment with Operations Lead• Tracks Oncology Trainer adherence to Medical, Regulatory, Legal (MRL) standards and guidelines, copyright laws, operational guidelines, and Code of Conduct while developing training content• Supports appropriate tracking and documentation of training in accordance with company policy and local regulationsMatrix Engagement (20%)• Proactively engages with BU Heads, Marketing and Medical Leads, and NSDs to understand strategic brand and field needs and related learning needs, and integrates to strategy• Collaborates with ONO team to develop core text for launch training• Works with WW I-O training lead to understand WW I-O programs that support local strategy and can be leveraged for local roll-out• Coordinates training content development and delivery with matrix partners, as required(Disclaimer: The responsibilities listed above are only a summary and other responsibilities will be requirements as assigned)Supervisory Responsibility (List job titles of positions that report directly or indirectly to this position and indicate nature of relationship)(does not include admins or contractors)

Degree/Certification/Licensure:
4-year BA/BS degree required
Experience – Responsibility and minimum number of years
• 5+ years of professional work experience in field learning development and execution
• Prior sales, training and leadership experience
Competencies – knowledge, skills, abilities, other
• Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, develop, motivate, mobilize, retain and
lead a team
• Ability to rally partners and direct reports around established critical decisions
• Ability to prioritize business needs and make timely decisions based on available data
• Proven ability to present to and influence senior leaders
• Experience of engaging and managing diverse internal stakeholders
• Proven ability to facilitate career development and professional growth of a team
• Expertise in Oncology, preferably with focus in immunotherapy
• Proven success in design and implementation of MR skills training, preferably in oncology
• Proactive and creative strategic thinking to identify and address current and future challenges
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple matrix teams to achieve business objectives
• Demonstrated ability to define and manage operational budgets
• Demonstrated strength in facilitating discussions, presenting information and
resolving issues
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and proven project
management experience
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and learning design
• Preferably fluent in English and Japanese
