Responsibilities
While assisting the director with daily tasks, the candidate will be entrusted with responsibilities such as:
- Managing and coordinating all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
- Monitoring and ensuring that orders are picked, packed, and shipped efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Supervising stock levels and coordinating supply with the purchasing staff.
- Enforcing safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Resolving operational issues, including delays, damaged goods, or staffing shortages.
- Supervising warehouse staff and drivers (5 laborers, 5 drivers), including work schedules, task delegation, and feedback.
- Identifying areas for improvement in warehouse processes and implementing changes to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Implementing and maintaining quality control measures to ensure that materials are handled correctly.
- Working closely with the procurement and sales teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues related to order fulfillment.
- Overseeing the maintenance and proper functioning of warehouse machinery, tools, and vehicles to prevent breakdowns or accidents.

Qualifications
Education
- Technical training in mechanics, metallurgy, metal construction, materials, industrial, or equivalent experience.
Experience

- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with computers.
- Forklift certification.
- Good knowledge of Montreal and its surroundings.
Language Skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written French, English being an asset.
