Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Supervision:

  • Support the Team Manager in leading the Front Door Team, ensuring effective management of referrals and safeguarding concerns.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and support to social workers and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions and performance appraisals for team members, providing constructive feedback and support for professional development.

• Case Management:

  • Assist in the assessment and triage of incoming referrals, ensuring that children and families receive timely and appropriate responses based on their needs.
  • Review and monitor initial assessments and decision-making processes to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding and support.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols within the Front Door Team to improve service delivery.
  • Participate in audits and quality assurance activities, providing feedback and recommendations for service improvements.
  • Ensure that all case records and documentation are accurately maintained and compliant with local and national standards.

• Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs for team members and facilitate learning opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills within the team.
  • Support the Team Manager in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the Front Door Team.

Requirements:

• Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Care Wales.
