Responsibilities
• Collaborate in evaluating and negotiating building services contracts to ensure adherence to cost-effective practices.
• Support the accounting department in preparing monthly financial reports, reviewed by senior management.
• Contribute to precise financial planning, reporting, and control for both operating and capital budgets.
• Supervise the preparation and ongoing management of capital project documentation, contracts, and associated tasks.
• Maintain and organize all contract files promptly and efficiently.
• Aid in developing, submitting, and managing the annual operating budget.
• Keep the Property Manager informed of operational issues and any anomalies that may impact approved plans and budgets.
• Conduct regular inspections of the buildings.
• Assist in the oversight of Tenant Services, Property Administration, Accounts Payable, and Office Administration.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of commercial property management experience with administration and financial management responsibilities.
• Proven experience as a people manager, able to motivate and develop a team
• A property management designation, or working towards a property management designation (RPA) preferred.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of exercising sound judgment and managing complex, ambiguous situations professionally.
• Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, excels at multitasking, and maintains exceptional organizational skills.
• Stays updated on developments in building technology and provides consultative services on building issues.
• Post-secondary education.
