Main Purpose:
This is a leadership role with expectations aligned to the Leadership Capabilities and Behaviors as set out in the Abbott Dundee Employee Handbook.
Within the Assembly and Warehouse environment, the Assembly/Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing safe, on- time delivery of product which conforms to current best practices and Quality standards, and is aligned to the expectations set by the Operations Master Schedule and Standard Cost budgets.

... - Responsible for Health and Safety within the Assembly/Warehouse environment
- Recruits, develops, motivates and disciplines employees within Assembly and Warehouse Operations to ensure that it is staffed by individuals of such caliber to achieve the operations objectives, and also personal objectives in respect of individual behaviors and career progression.
- Providing effective leadership to the Assembly and Warehouse groups by :
- Taking full accountability for personal and team workload, ensuring
- work is completed to a high standard in accordance with site policies,
- procedures and applicable regulations.
- Setting clear expectations for staff within Final Kit Assembly
- Operations, alongside Goods In and Warehouse, and promoting a
- culture of accountability, responsibility, and ownership.
- Perform regular performance reviews with direct line reports.
- Perform annual performance reviews with direct line reports.
- Oversight of Kit Assembly production and material supply/stock management in accordance with the Operations Master Schedule.
- Oversight of and understanding of Key Process Variables (KPVs) and Critical Quality Attributes (CQAs) to ensure lot to lot consistency and optimal equipment effectiveness.
- Understanding of principles for Lean Six Sigma and their application within a production line environment
- Collaborate with the Operations, Quality Control, and Product Quality Assurance peer group to plan and manage local schedules.
- Represent Assembly and Warehouse Operations group within Leader Standard Work within a Management Operating System; Tier 4 & 5, Team/Department Briefings.
- Represent Assembly and Warehouse Operations within audit.
- Working as part of a cross-functional team, perform Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) activities; review/approval of Quality Incidents/Investigations, Deviations, and CAPA within the Quality Management System (Agile) to predefined and metricised time lines.
- Proposing ideas for new opportunities to improve communication and productivity.
Requirements:
- A comprehensive background in Operations leadership with excellent communication skills (both within and outside of the organisation).
- A proven track record of improving product reliability metrics, demonstrated ability to anticipate and adapt to changing conditions, and ability to formulate solutions in advance to ensure business continuity.
- Degree level or equivalent, and/or
- Experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment preferred
