Temporary Assembly Operative
6 Weeks minimum, possibly ongoing thereafter.

Pay rate £15 - £20 dependant on experience
Role Overview
We are currently looking for an experienced assembly operator for a 6 week period, during which an influx in volume of assembling products is needed.
This role will be within the Technology team, where the successful candidate will carry out assembly of hydraulic valve components during valve assemblies.
These processes include matching diameters and bearings, gluing magnets and completing valve assembly.
This role will start out with Technology aligned shifts which is a 9-day fortnight, from 08:00 to 17:30, the second Friday off. Then will switch to Production hours for the rest of the contract, which is Mon-Thu 07:30-16:00 and Fri 07:30-13:30.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Diameter matching, bearing matching and magnet gluing
- Assembly of a range of hydraulic servo valves
- Disassembly of components for investigations 59i9
- Upkeep of 5S standards
- Improving processes to increase efficiencies in production
- Interacting with MRP system and capturing data to pass on to subsequent operations
Essential requirements
- 2 or more years of experience operating carrying out assembly of mechanical products
- Measuring and recording quality control features
- Adhering to Health and Safety Policies
- Great computer literacy
- Able to use and demonstrate the use of gauges and measurement equipment
Beneficial requirements
- Experience operating hydraulic test equipment
- Has completed an apprenticeship
- Has 5S and lean six sigma understanding
- Experience operating inspection equipment
- Experience using MRP or ERP
