We have a permanent role available within TATA Steel. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication, negotiation and IT literacy skills. The successful applicant will come from a strong sales background within the building sector.
Role: Area Sales Manager (Northern England Territory)
Location: Flexible providing the successful applicant resides in the NE or NW of England
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (dependent upon experience) + Company Car + Bonus
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the trading relationship between TATA and the customer
- Obtaining and maintaining long term customers
- Building strong relationships with customers
- Identifying customer need and requirements
- Promoting TATA's products and services to eligible customers
- Managing customer performance against targeted sales
- Ensuring sales forecasts are accurate and sales targets are met
- Increasing spend for designated key accounts
- Reporting on progress and required metrics to senior management
- Updating CRM systems and logging sales leads
- Resolving invoice queries
- Delivering training to customers on product, pricing and process
Essential requirements:
- Experience managing a sales territory (2+years)
- Proven experience delivering on and exceeding sales targets (2+years)
- Knowledge of the building merchants and developers sector
- Good awareness of competition law
- Profound negotiation skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Located in either the North East or North West of England
- Flexibility towards travel and understanding that some days may be longer than others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good IT Literacy especially with MS Office
- Ability to present information in a clear and concise way
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload under minimal supervision
