About the Role:
The APS6 Social Media Officer will operate under limited direction to handle complex tasks guided by legislation, policies, and procedures. This role requires detailed technical, professional, policy, and operational support and advice on complex issues. You will be involved in strategic planning, program management, and policy development to support the org’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyse, and report on social media performance and trends, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement social media strategies aligning with organisation priorities.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the org's social media platforms, including content sourcing, calendar creation, scheduling, posting, and monitoring.
- Coordinate targeted social media advertising strategies.
- Lead social media intelligence gathering and identify opportunities for information sharing.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on complex, sensitive issues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in social media management and strategy development.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor and report on social media trends and performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under limited direction and handle complex tasks.
- Knowledge of social media advertising and content creation.
