About the role
The APS5 Legal Practice and Capability role is responsible for organising workflow and assisting with administrative and operational tasks.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Understanding and working within legislative frameworks, ensuring adherence with statutory timeframes.
- Engaging with key stakeholders, including the Tribunal, internal and external lawyers and case managers, achieving work area and departmental goals by providing administrative and other support.
- Researching and assessing business system information, creating case summaries or work area documents including draft responses for correspondence, complaints and FOI requests.
- Managing and completing administrative tasks in a fast paced working environment.
- Contributing towards the continuous improvement of processes and procedural documents impacting the various functions within the team by providing feedback and suggestions.
Your profile will demonstrate:
- Paralegal, legal admin or similar experience
- The ability to produce high quality against deadlines
- Great organisational skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Australian citizenship
