Randstad are looking for a candidate who can support a project team (Electrical) within a state government department based in Nerang.
In the role of Project Management Support Officer, you will provide high-level administrative support to the operational team staff. coordinate, maintain, and manage project records within the Gold Coast management system and organise the delivery of essential administration services and information to both internal and external clients.
This is a 6-month assignment in Nerang, with an immediate start. This position is at the AO3 level, paying $48.21 per hour plus super. This is a full-time position with a standard working week of 36.25 hours. The role will occasionally overlap with the night shift team and on certain occasions, may require a later start and finish time (12 pm to 8 pm).
Key duties:
... - Provide accurate, timely and confidential support to the Project Management team. Including preparation and distribution of project and other documentation, project document control, supervision, and maintenance of the project records management system.
- Assist in the completion of monthly reports in consultation with the project managers.
- Participate in operational plan activities and project work as required.
- Coordination of police, traffic control and various contractors.
- Applying for road permits.
- Assist project managers with monitoring expenses and invoices where required, as well as corporate credit card transactions.
- Research data and provide solutions
- Operating multiple softwares and programmes, including SAP and Excel.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a project support role
- Electrical/road construction background is highly desirable
- Previous experience with Project Management systems and very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- C-Class Drivers Licence
- Full work rights
