key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs to optimise application performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Android development.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Android development.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
- Experience with Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Solid understanding of mobile development lifecycle, including designing, coding, testing, and debugging mobile applications.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
- Knowledge of UI/UX standards and best practices.
preferred skills
- Experience with libraries and frameworks such as RxJava, Dagger, or Coroutines.
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
