The Air Canada Foundation Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing communications related to social impact initiatives at Air Canada. They work cross-functionally across the organization to execute communications and storytelling initiatives the Air Canada Foundation as well as other initiatives such as humanitarian work, employee volunteerism and community engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for development and coordination of social impact related communications throughout Air Canada’s network with internal and external stakeholders.
- Accountable for tracking KPIs of communications and contributing to administration tasks, including presentations and updates for Board Members.
- Accountable for the development of the annual Air Canada Foundation Impact Report.
- Responsible for building relationships with internal teams, contributing to the integration of social good at Air Canada, including but not limited to ESG, Community Relations,
- Brand, Environmental Affairs, DEI, Accessibility, Corporate and Internal Communications.
- Contributing to publications and executive newsletters as needed with social good content.
- Attending events as an ambassador on behalf of the Air Canada Foundation, contributing to the creation and documentation of content for storytelling.
- Driving engagement on internal media platforms as content relates to social good initiatives.
Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with storytelling development and drafting copy for purpose-driven campaigns and initiatives.
- 1-3 years in a non-profit, corporate social responsibility setting or working and collaborating in a complex highly matrixed organization.
- 1-3 years managing social media.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills in English.
- Exceptionally proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset.
- This position may be located in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver or Calgary.
