Ideal candidates should bring 3-5 years of experience operating COUNTERBALANCE FORKLIFTS and must also have a VALID (EXTERNALLY CERTIFIED) FORKLIFT LICENSE.
This position requires operators to confidently maneuver forklifts through the facility while carrying unbalanced loads that can be double and triple-stacked.
Solid experience manipulating large, oddly shaped, and unbalanced loads or materials using forklifts is imperative in order to be successful in this position.
Operators must be confident driving backwards while carrying loads, as the constraints of the facility make this type of maneuver a regular requirement.
Operators must be able to work at an acceptable speed without sacrificing load integrity or the safety of themselves and those around them.
Candidates who have supported companies with YARD ENVIRONMENTS would be an excellent fit (note that this position is at an indoor facility, but there is a requirement to drive outdoors for short periods in order to remove large debris items to containers located outside)

JOB TITLE : LINDE ELECTRIC COUNTERBALANCE FORKLIFT OPERATOR
LOCATION – SCARBOROUGH NEAR HWY 401 AND KENNEDY ROAD
RATE OF PAY - $21 PER HOUR
SHIFT SCHEDULE - STRAIGHT DAY SHIFT - MONDAY TO FRIDAY - 7AM TO 3:30PM (MUST BE WILLING TO ARRIVE FOR EVERY SHIFT 15 MINS PRIOR TO START TIME)

Responsibilities
• Operation of LINDE brand electric counterbalance forklifts
• Maneuver up to three unbalanced stacked pallets with lid-less gaylords filled with electronic products
• Unload gaylords from trucks delivering inbound shipments
* Required among other tasks to get off FL to level off gaylords in order to double and triple stack.
* Break down gaylords and stack (these are big and awkward and weighing close to 30lbs)
• Load processed materials into trucks for outbound shipments
• Move pallets of product around the facility to replenish the disassembly and sorting lines'
• Use clamp attachment on forklift to dump raw and processed materials into hoppers and large storage containers
• Operate in a way that consistently meets requirements for standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
• Clean and maintain a safe working area ensuring that Health and Safety processes and procedures are met
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, treating all co-workers and managers with respect
• Preform additional related duties as assigned by management
• Arrive 15 mins ahead of shift start time every day to ensure you are on the work floor ready to begin operations at scheduled start of shift
• Report all planned absences at least 3 days ahead of time
• Report all unplanned absences at least 2 hours prior to shift start times
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating LINDE ELECTRIC COUNTERBALANCE FORKLIFTS
• Minimum 3 years of experience working within an industrial facility
• Ability to drive backwards with forklift
• Ability to maneuver unbalanced loads stacked up to three pallets high
• Ability to manually carry and lift up to 80lbs with assistance, and 50lbs unassisted
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Must have a valid (EXTERNALLY CERTIFIED) forklift license
• Ability to maintain an excellent attendance and punctuality record
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting
• Ability to enhance the company culture and maintain a positive attitude
