About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Advanced Social Worker to join our Child Protection Team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will work with children and families to assess risks, develop safety plans, and provide ongoing support to ensure the best possible outcomes for children in need of protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs and family circumstances.
- Develop, implement, and review care and protection plans in collaboration with children, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Lead complex casework, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Provide expert advice and support to colleagues within the team and wider service.
- Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, reviews, and other relevant meetings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with legal and organisational requirements.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote their welfare.
- Participate in regular supervision and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in child protection.
- Strong assessment, analytically, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload and work under pressure.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.
Minimum Requirements:
-SWE Registration
-2 year post qualifying experience within UK
-Eligibility to work in the UK
