Court Services Victoria (CSV) is a public entity established by the Court Services Victoria Act 2014 to provide administrative support to various courts and tribunals in Victoria, including the Supreme Court, County Court, Magistrates’ Court, Children’s Court, Coroners Court, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and the Judicial College of Victoria. The Neighbourhood Justice Centre (NJC), part of CSV, is Australia’s first community justice center, focusing on early intervention, dispute resolution, local problem-solving, and integrated service delivery to address the underlying causes of offending. The Therapeutic Services Team within the NJC offers therapeutic support services such as counseling, case management, and referrals, with clients referred from various sources including the NJC court, legal teams, police prosecutions, corrections services, self-referrals, or other agencies across Yarra.
Reporting to the Manager of the NJC Therapeutic Services Team, this role requires an accredited professional in Alcohol and Drug assessment with advanced case management skills for complex client needs. It involves close collaboration with the NJC Magistrate, Registry, Corrections, Victoria Police prosecutions, the duty lawyer team, and a multidisciplinary team of service delivery agencies. The role emphasizes a collaborative, team-oriented approach to manage individual cases effectively.
