Responsibilities
- Hours: Full-time in office, 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
- Manage Invoicing and Collections: Handle invoicing for six companies, ensuring timely collections with different payment terms and grace periods.
- Client Communication: Maintain straightforward communication and effectively manage client accounts.
- Critical Thinking: Analyze payables history and escalate issues to the supervisor as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure accurate recordkeeping and financial transactions.
- System Management: Use accounting systems to manage accounts and assist with month-end procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable roles, preferably in construction or a related industry.
- Education: Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance preferred; formal bookkeeping training is an asset.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software (Eclipse, Sage, QuickBooks) and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Client Service: Strong client service orientation and teamwork skills.
- Training: Open to feedback, willing to learn and receive training and mentoring.
