Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in creating, implementing, training, and documenting accounting policies and procedures.
Support the accounts payable department onsite daily.
Enter data and maintain financial records.
Help prepare month-end and year-end financial reports.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
Provide assistance to the accounting team as required.
Generate routine reports and summaries.
Prepare and deliver bank deposits.
Review and manage records and expenses as assigned.
Ensure the confidentiality of all financial information.
Perform miscellaneous data entry tasks, including inventory.
Additional Requirements:
Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Understand the impact of this role on the quality of products and services delivered to customers.
Produce quality work that meets specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
Be self-driven, positive, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Work effectively within a team environment.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
At least an Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Equivalent education and experience are acceptable.
1-3 years of hands-on accounting experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
